Hello, Share the Warmth is all about Community. In the South-West boroughs which are traditionally low-income, giving each other support and finding ways to get around poverty helps everyone see a little more hope on the horizon. Our mission is to awaken hopes and dreams in the community. We do this by fostering the overall development and success of children and youth, increasing access to food security and health and by offering work training programs which help adults into the workforce. Through our many programs, we actively seek the input of all our members while giving back to the community in the form of work positions that support adults who wish to receive training and go back into the workforce. Second Hand Shop Share the Warmth’s second-hand shop offers affordable clothing to area residents. A steady stream of people wander into the second-hand shop throughout the day, from Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm) and Saturday (9am to 3:30pm). On the last Thursday of the month, the boutique (as we affectionately call it) is open until 6pm. Over 300 families come to the Boutique on a regular basis. They are outfitted economically as well as receive free clothing when necessary. Donations of once-loved items are always welcome at the Share the Warmth building on Fortune. Warm clothing and coats are most appreciated in the winter months. To continue this work, we are looking for donations - new, slight imperfections, returns and samples. A list of what we are looking for is below. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
